The Web Platform and Tools team is dedicated to developing the best end-to-end Web and application server platform, including IIS, ASP.NET and Visual Studio Web Developer. The team is strong, customer focused, and is passionate about winning in this space. We are looking for an experienced software design engineer to join the team and play a key role in the development of the next generation Core-Infrastructure for the ASP.Net platform. The Core-Infrastructure is the backbone of the ASP.Net platform, and provides all ASP.Net and managed console applications with a host of crucial services such as: security, cache management, state services, etc. You will participate in design, performance and security work, driving issues to resolution, and working closely with team members. Requirements/Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline. - Development experience with managed code and .net framework, as well as strong C# programming skills. Prior Win32, C/C++, XML and server development experience is highly desired. - 3+ years of product development and shipping experience, and demonstrated skills in independent design and implementation. - Good communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, and with other disciplines, and passion for development are key to the success of this position.
